armin tehrani is a creative professional from vancouver, currently based in copenhagen. he graduated from the university of british columbia in 2012 with a degree in sociology and biology. after his studies, he owned a clothing store with two other business partners called board of trade co.. the concept was to support high-quality independent brands and art objects with a taste for contemporary minimalist fashion. with two locations in vancouver, the shop had been featured in numerous publications such as monocle magazine, fashion magazine, and wall street journal.
after success in the retail side of fashion, the trio dove into wholesale by creating a women's line called priory, a consideration of comfort, quality, and functionality. started in 2014, the brand has grown internationally, selling to almost 50 stores across north america, europe, and japan. notable stockists include totokaelo (new york), united arrows (japan), steven alan (usa), the dreslyn (online). a large focus of priory is to keep a high standard in sustainability and to ensure ethical manufacturing during production. more information can be read here.
lost boy. is a different kind of adventure . it is a culmination of thoughts, memories, and daydreams interpreted through a greeting card company. the cards are musings on love, gratitude, and friendship. the project started in 2015 and sells to over thirty stockists across usa & canada. all profits are used to fund a creative workshop program designed by armin tehrani, where he goes into classrooms to promote emotional intelligence to young elementary children. this program consists of thoughtful discussion and art-based projects.
